For over 27 years our core values are to provide our customers a competitive advantage through speed, quality, and technology. We have applied those same core values to our Business Continuity Plan during Covid 19. In February, we established a coronavirus response team and are following the current guidance from government and local health authorities.
During the coronavirus outbreak, our focus is on the safety and well-being of our employees, who are vitally important to support you and your business, as well as the communities where we operate. Our second primary area of concern is the safety and continued service of our customers.
We have implemented several actions through our team, including:
- Instituting guidelines to limit virus spread and keep our employees healthy.
- Implementing operational enhancements, in alignment with public health authority guidance, to limit employee and customer exposure to the virus:
- Implementing access restrictions at our facilities, including strictly limiting visitor access to both our manufacturing and office facilities.
- Highly restricting all business travel.
- Providing safety guidance and supplies appropriate for our employees and the nature of their work in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the WHO.
Our customers’ business continuity is a key priority. We want to minimize service disruptions or impacts to your business. Our goal is to offer the level of quality, responsiveness, and support that you have come to expect from Tek Pak, Inc. Our team has proactively worked with each of our critical business functions and support facilities to adapt to this new working environment while we implement our own continuity plans.

Tek Pak Wins Workplace Wellness Award | May 18, 2018
Each year Berkley Accident and Health recognizes captive members for their efforts in advancing wellness initiatives at their companies through the RAY Award ~ Risk Achievement of the Year Award.
Tek Pak was honored to receive the 2017 award today presented at our semiannual employee wellness luncheon.
Worksite wellness brings numerous benefits for employees as well as employers, including:
- Improved employee health and well being
- Improved employee job satisfaction and retention
- Lower healthcare costs for both associated with lower employee health risks and improved health status
- Ability to affect workers’ related expenses through integration of safety and health promotion
- Reduction in absenteeism and increase in productivity
Nominating Tek Pak for the award was their broker, The Horton Group, “Over the past several years The Horton Group has created wellness programs for hundreds of our clients, typically starting from scratch. When we partnered with Tek Pak as their broker/consultant in 2017 it was very clear they were already well ahead of the curve with their wellness program efforts compared to the majority of their peers (of similar size and shape). The level of participation in biometric screenings, positive impact on employees’ lives, coordination of an extremely well thought out health fair, and overall buy-in from management and executive leadership has put Tek Pak and their wellness program in an elite class.”
Tek Pak and its Wellness Committee are honored to receive this award, “Implementing an effective employee wellness program is a core component of our employee benefits, and now entering the fourth year of workplace wellness at Tek Pak, our program is now evidence that we are gaining momentum and having an extremely positive impact on the health and well-being of our workforce.” stated Renee Carter, Human Resources Manager for Tek Pak.
“In the last two years we’ve put strong emphasis on increasing employee awareness of these many options of the wellness program and striving to make them easy to access. This award is affirmation that we’re on the right track.”
“Making wellness a priority is a true win-win for Tek Pak,” said Tony Beyer, President. “Research shows that employees who participate in wellness programs are happier, healthier and more productive. That’s a benefit to both the employee and the company.”

Tek Pak Wins the Valley Industrial Association’s Spark Safety Award | March 21, 2018
Winners of the second annual Spark Awards were announced at the Valley Industrial Association dinner on March 15 at Riverside Receptions in Geneva.
“The Spark Awards is an opportunity to refresh, renew and remember that here, in the Greater Fox Valley area, our companies are making a difference,” said Kathy Gilmore, VIA president. “Whether it’s through Green initiatives that are helping save our environment or through initiatives that help grow the future workforce by inspiring students, the awards highlight our VIA Best of Class.”
VIA member companies are honored for their accomplishments in seven categories: Manufacturing Career Awareness, Product, Sustainability, Community Service and Outreach, Safety, Human Resources, and for Individual Recognition.
2018 honorees included:
- Smith & Richardson, Manufacturing Career Awareness
- MTH Pumps, Sustainability
- Pioneer Service, Community Service, and Outreach
- Tek Pak Inc., Safety
- United Scrap Metal, Human Resources
“The Spark Awards are a great way to shine a positive light on manufacturers,” said Tim Tremain, VIA board chairman and president of MTH Pumps of Plano “This type of recognition helps companies retain and attract top talent by showing that our members make positive strides in their communities, with their employees and with their customers.”
“It’s a great honor to be recognized for this award,” said Renee Carter, Human Resources Manager and Safety Committee Advisor. “Our program began with the desire of our owner, Tony Beyer to make sure every employee returns home safety to their family daily.” She attributes their success to a partnership with WCTI. “The relationship with our loss control representative has provided us with the tools necessary to make our program a success. The MSAP program held our feet to the fire and helped us to focus our energies on the most important task.” She emphasized that the credit really belongs to the safety committee. “They worked hard to help develop the program and change the culture. Without their hard work and dedication, none of this would be possible. Now we have buy-in from all employees and that is the true payoff.”
About the Valley Industrial Association ... Headquartered in Geneva, Ill., the Valley Industrial Association is a value-added partner with 225 members throughout the Fox Valley and Chicagoland area. Founded in 1902, the VIA provides strategic resources, relevant educational programming, and networking opportunities that help its members meet or exceed their business objectives.
