A Noble House

Often there are two very different and opposite opinions when it comes to the subject of fraternities. To some people, the image of any fraternity is like the 1978 movie "Animal House" starring John Belushi. A wild, out-of-control house full of guys on a college campus where studying and achieving academic proficiency is beyond conception. Take the other side of that imagery and look at the reputation of a value-based organization that provides academic support to college students to help develop social and leadership goals while receiving a college degree in their chosen area of interest. One such fraternity that exemplifies those later characteristics is SigmaTau Gamma, whose purpose is "To be a Fraternity of Courageous and Noble Gentleman who Always Endeavor Forward."

One particular Sigma Tau Gamma alumni who lead by example and lives a purposeful life daily is Tek Pak founder Anthony "Tony" Beyer. In fact, Tony not only lives it, but he has also built a company around the same principles. The principles of Learning, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, Citizenship, and Brotherhood are in Tony's work ethic and commitment to quality at Tek Pak. Tony believes wholeheartedly that following those principles will lead to a life well-lived and, ultimately, success.

Every year Sigma Tau Gamma hosts a Noble Man Institute for newly initiated members. This outdoor retreat is a leadership development program, and those who have attended say it is life-changing. This retreat is so impactful because alums like Tony return to the Noble Man weekend to pay their experience forward to the next generation. Tony feels that his industry success and many personal and professional accomplishments were partly possible due to what Noble Man and his years in Sigma Tau Gamma taught him.
