Job Description
- Receives items by unloading vehicles, accepting deliveries and unpacking containers.
- Verifies items received inspecting the condition, quantity to purchase order and noting discrepancies.
- Documents items received.
- Transfers orders received to correct departments.
- Ensures proper paperwork accompanies orders
- Reports damaged items and shortages.
- Performs all Made to Manage receiving responsibilities
- Performs inventory task.
- Observes all company safety procedures.
- Helps to stock shelves by sorting received items into their correct bin location. Maintains order and cleanliness of warehouse.
- Certified fork lift operator for all material handling duties.
- Drives Company Vehicle when necessary
- Assist in shipping task
- Assist with baling of scrap material
Requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must have good driving record
- Must be fork lift certified- (must be obtained here)
- Must have high school diploma or GED
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Lift objects from one level to another (up to 50 lbs.).
- Carry objects (up to 50 lbs.).
- Stoop/crouch by bending your legs or bending down/forward at the waist.
- Reach by extending the hands/arms.
- Walk around the facility on foot.
- Stand on your feet.
- Add, subtract, multiply, divide and record. Balance and check results for accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment by pushing and pulling.
- Climb ladder.
